The International Pole Dance Fitness Association (IPDFA) was created to:
1. Promote Pole Dancing a legitimate form of fitness program
2. Act as supervisory body for the sport
3. Organise the International Pole Chanpionships (IPC) annually
4. Train and accredit instructors to the highest standards
5. Maintain an accessible record of qualified and established pole dancing studios and instructors globally
